Security Strategies of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf

Abstract
Since Persian Gulf have the geopolitical situation and the possession of large amounts of energy resources, it had been considered by regional and international actors. These characteristics has caused security issues being the priorities of countries in this sensitive area, but different views in security, prevents the formation of trust and cooperation between actors in the region. Security policies of Saudi Arabia as a major actor in the Persian Gulf security equations are: cooperation and coalition with the West (American), regional cooperation in form of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and the coalition with the Arabic and non-Arabic players, and rising military power. Why these policies adopted by Saudi Arabia, is the main question of this article. It seems that we should research the reasons for adopting these policies, in its lower power than Iran and Saudi Arabia is trying to keep current situation in the area. The method in this research is based on the nature of explanatory research and the data and information needed are collected in library.
