Term formation at the present stage: does it threaten the Ukrainian language? (according to the Ukrainian abstract journal «Dzherelo»)

The main ways of term formation are specified; the accent is made on the borrowings. The importance and necessity of using the borrowed term usage in the Ukrainian language are considered and different viewpoints of the national researches in this respect are highlighted. The suitability of using foreign terms instead of their equivalents in Ukrainian is focused on and the arguments for giving preference to Ukrainian terms are made. Some national equivalents to foreign terms from different subject domains have been given. The usage frequency of term units in Ukrainian abstract journal «Dzherelo» for the period of 2013-2015 has been analyzed.
