Abstract
In the article international legal acts on intellectual property rights that relate to the activities of the libraries are defined. It is stressed that one of the most important directions of Ukraine’s strategy for integration into the European Union and the world community as a whole is the creation of an effective national system for the protection of intellectual property rights according to the Ukraine-2020 Sustainable Development Strategy. It is substantiated that observance of the provisions of international legal acts in the field of copyright will contribute to the formation of a positive image of Ukraine in the world community, to improve conditions for attracting investment in the development of domestic librarianship, ensuring accounting and efficient use of library resources.
