Abstract
The article highlights the role of libraries in the process of informational socialization of people with special needs in the context of overcoming the problem of information inequality in society. The importance and potential of modern information technologies in the library service of users with disabilities are considered. The possibilities of accessible library services for this category of population пробіл are analyzed and the largest Ukrainian public libraries of national significance are used as an examles. The necessity of connecting as many public libraries as possible to work with users with special needs and satisfying their informational needs is substantiated.
