Abstract
The article addresses the issue of monotheism in the Zoroastrian religion. New ideas have been advanced about Amesha Spenta – six “eternally holy immortal” deities who were considered at the same time as incarnations of Ahura Mazda himself, together with him constituting the “seven” of eternal holy immortals – Hept Stent. Some explorers are inclined to regard the eternal holy immortals of each as a separate god, emphasizing the polytheistic properties of Zoroastrianism. The ghats of the Avesta can shed light on the question of polytheism and monotheism of the philosophical essence of the Zoroastrian religion.
