Abstract
Article analyses processes of institution formation of state regulation in Post-Soviet Buryatia, and rules of interaction between government and various religious organizations. The institutionalization of religious policy forms the structure of the religious field, representing division of the religious organizations on the basis of traditional character. The establishment of such rules improves the controllability of public funds allocated to support religious organizations. The study was supported by a grant from the Program of fundamental researches of Presidium of the RAS № 33 ?Tradition and innovation in the history and culture?, direction 2. Modernization and its impact on Russian society, project № 1 ?Interaction of religious institutions and communities of Buryatia in social and cultural modernization?.
