ON THE ROLE AND INFLUENCE OF RELIGIOUS VALUES ON THE PROCESSES OF CIVIL SOCIETY FORMATION

Civil society has many dimensions, among which the cultural and humanitarian (in particular, in the terminology of individual Western researchers – the «religious and national dimension») stands out. In this re- gard, one of the urgent tasks of studying civil society is to find answers to the questions: what is the role and influence of the mentality, traditions and culture of the population in the formation of civil society; how «civili- zational, religious values» are affected in the processes of democratization, relations between the people and state power, etc. It shows the compatibility of universally recognized values of democracy, such as democracy, the rule of law, etc., with the values of Islam
