RECONSTRUCTION OF ELECTRIC BURN WOUND IN A BILATERAL LOWER THIRD LEG DEFECT BY PERFORATOR FLAPS

We describe the reconstruction of an electric burn injury in a young patient with bilateral posterior lower third leg defect using perforator flaps based on perforators from the Peroneal vessels. The successful use of this perforator flap to cover this defect and the relatively paucity of local flaps in the lower third demonstrates the usefulness and importance of the perforator flaps.
