Abstract

Osteoma is a rare benign neoplasm of head and neck region where it is seen often in the mandible. Presenting predominantly in the second decade of life, most of them are incidental and asymptomatic findings. Facial osteoma being a true neoplasm, early and prompt diagnosis is essential as it may be associated with Gardner`s syndrome, which has the high propensity for intestinal malignancy. This paper presents a series of cases with osteogenic lesions at various anatomic sites with varied clinical, radiographic findings which were confirmed by histology as osteoma.
