Abstract
This article presents the results of psychological pedagogical experiment of a very important problem ? the formation of linguistic competence of primary school pupils at English lessons. The authors give a brief description of the stages of the experiment and the model of forming the linguistic competence. The results of the experiment prove that the techniques of language activities, used in the classroom, help to apply the received amount of knowledge in solving practical, informative and communicative tasks and challenges faced by the child in everyday life.
