Abstract
In the article, the results of experimental research of thermal fields of the standard piston, the oxidized top piston and the piston ring groove of the internal combustion engine are given. The research results show that oxidizing of top piston and piston ring groove allows reducing the combustion intensity of piston on average by 23,9 %
