Abstract

The article is devoted to the development and approbation of universal ways of mainstreaming and problem orienting of knowledge in order to develop the key competences of students in conditions of intercultural interaction and forming a multilingual personality. The article considers the issue of mastering educational programmes by bilingual children in the municipal educational institution (Lyceum) in the town of Bor, Nizhniy Novgorod region in connection with the growing number of such children. Special attention is given to the analysis of issues connected with social and psychological adaptation of polylingual children to school and the ways of solving their problems. The topic has recently become relevant for Russian schools because of the flow of migrants from Central Asia. The object of the study is the teaching and educational process in the school which has to form a multilingual personality under contemporary conditions of intercultural communication and multicultural education. The research subject is the development of key competences of bilingual students in the process of mastering educational programmes. The practical importance of the research consists of development, approbation and introduction into the educational process of the experimental educational programme “Universal pedagogical tools of developing a polylingual personality.” The programme contains teaching materials for working with migrant children, a description of the ways and means of making lessonplans of a new type, successfully combining team work and individual activities.
