Abstract
Nummulites fossil were mostly present during the Late Paleocene to Early Oligocene time in carbonate deposits especially representing about 30 million years. Of these species large foraminifera were good indicator of shallow marine environments. Paleonummilites thalicus species of Nummulites were found in KIA (Sheringal area) an extremely metigneous zone. Rock hosting these fossils were limestone.
