The article analyzes such signs of the social entrepreneurship institutionalization in Russia and other countries as developing: a research network, a necessary legal field, a system of financial and information support, a system for training and retraining of qualified personnel. The empirical basis of the study is the data of the funds that support social entrepreneurship in Russia and abroad, research centers, statistical data, legal documents. Particular attention is paid to the dynamics of socially oriented non-profit organizations in Russia.
