Abstract

The article analyzes the current experience of implementing unified border guards' training for the border guards of European Union countries on the example of the border guard agencies of Romania, Poland and Latvia. The systems of training of the border guard agencies of the EU countries have been described in the article, peculiarities of implementation the FRONTEX Agency's Common Core Curriculum and Sectoral Qualification Framework have been revealed. The current situation in EU require the Ukrainian border guard agency' personnel to meet the standards of professional training in the EU, which primarily involves the introduction of innovations, the use of a competent approach, the implementation of the principles of the Bologna and Copenhagen processes, which, among other things, means using the experience of the leading European countries. The main advantages of the common educational standards integration into the EU countries border guards training into national training systems are: development of relevant training courses in accordance with modern approaches; accreditation of training courses at the national level; correction of professional competences; ensuring economic efficiency; enhancing interoperability with other border authorities in the EU; facilitating the mobility of border guards.
