JUSTIFICATION OF PROJECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HORTICULTURE IN CONDITIONS OF CENTRAL CHERNOZEM REGION

Russia currently does not provide itself with fruit and berry products and the Government raises the question of increasing the volume of production, primarily apples. For establishing of orchard, planting material (transplanted plants) is needed in large volumes, the production of which should be provided at domestic enterprises and, preferably, one zone with the establishing of orchard. The performed calculations showed that establishment of nurseries for seedling production, the seedlings are a cost-effective implementation for the conditions of Central Chernozem region, providing a profit margin of over 40 %.
