Abstract
Suprascapular artery, a branch of thyrocervical trunk is known for its variations in origin and course. During the course of dissection for learning, the course of the suprascapular artery was found running below the superior transverse scapular ligament, to reach the supra spinatus fossa in a fifty year old female cadaver. This specific arterial pattern is significant as it is related to shoulder pain and neurogenic malfunction of the shoulders rotator cuff.
