This article is devoted to issues related to financial planning in enterprises. Financial planning is considered as a tool in financial management of an organization. Definitions of the basic concepts related to financial planning, such as financial plan, budget, budgeting. The main task of financial planning is described, its principles and methods are considered. Analyzed the stages of financial planning. Three types of financial planning are described: operational, current, strategic (prospective), and their differences.
