Abstract
The concept of artistry is extremely complex and multidimensional. It incorporates many features. Herewith, the content of this concept expands at each new phase of its evolution, complementing it with essential meanings, characteristics and requirements. However there are still issues that require comprehension and further theoretical development, as artistry is often understood in narrow sense, as a manifestation of acting techniques and skills required for profession of an actor. Choreographic school which initially has a broad educational opportunities in terms of identity formation by means of art, not using this potential in due measure, predominantly instills in students the necessary performance skills and abilities, disregarding the artistry issues. Creative activity of teachers, especially the teachers of music, is inconceivable without pedagogical artistry and one of the tasks of the university is to disclose the artistic abilities of students and young teachers.
