Abstract
Education in modern society has undergone significant changes. Today a big focus is made on students' independence, mobility and development of their creative component for quick adaptation in future real professional activities. However, educational institutions are forced to act in conditions of reducing the number of classroom load and changing the role of the teacher (the teacher acts as a mentor and advisor). Therefore, authors talk about the importance of developing a method of instruction. The purpose of the work is to consider development a method of instruction in the professional education of welders. The authors conducted an experiment in which third-year students took part. The experiment was conducted in the first and second semesters of 2017. Students completed the task of welding plates. For the first time, training was conducted only using oral instruction. The results of the control task remained at a rather low level. Only after conducting classes in the second semester with the cumulative use of oral and written briefings, the results were significantly higher. Thus, the authors showed the effectiveness and benefits of additional written briefing.
