Abstract
We report the interesting case of a 55 year old lady who presented with late onset of bizarre psychotic symptoms who was subsequently found to have a meningioma near the frontal cortex of her brain. We highlight the case of this lady who had multiple medical consultations, registering under different names for treatment under different units of obstetric and urology departments of the same hospital, secondary to her delusional belief that her genitalia was falling off. She also had multiple psychiatric consultations and did not respond to antipsychotic treatment. Neurological evaluation revealed a space occupying lesion radiologically suggestive of meningioma in the frontal cortex. Electroconvulsive therapy was used without complications in the presence of the SOL, with an improvement in psychiatric symptoms.
