Abstract

The article discusses the main issues that concern the problem of formation of the leader's image, his theoretical aspects and types. There were determined the factors that influence the formation of the self-perception in the process of the self-image creation and factors that influence the staff opinion. There were represented the main constituents of the leader potential that are the integral part of the image formation of a leader and there was described one of the most effective ways of actualization and development of manager's leadership skills – social and psychological workshop. The model of general characteristics and skills that are the most important in the process of formation of the leader's image – HR manager was suggested in the article. The article deals with the main issues concerning the problem of the manager's image formation. The growing importance of the problem of image formation in the life of a society and of an individual is highlighted. The factors influencing the formation of a person's perception of herself are considered. It is determined that the attractive image of a manager is inseparable from knowledge of business etiquette and confident possession of the relevant skills. The growing importance of the problem of forming an image in the life of a society and of an individual is underlined. The factors influencing the formation of "self-image" or "self-presentation" are considered. The components of the image of a person are considered in detail. Issues of the choice of the manager's image forming methods are discussed. The values of the goal definition phase, of the adequate self-evaluation and assessment analysis, are underlined. The functions that perform the manager's image in the management of the organization are determined. The conditions influencing the formation and improvement of the manager's image are distinguished. The necessity of improving of the manager's image forming technique, the mechanism of its formation and the stages of the work organization on creating a manager's image are revealed.
