Abstract
The equilibrium uptake of lead (Pb2+), copper (Cu2+) and cadmium (Cd2+) ions, both singly and in combination, by locally Iraqi porcelanite rocks (PC) was studied in a batch system. The porcelanite rock was characterized using BET, and FTIR. Adsorption isotherms were developed for the single, and ternary-component systems and expressed by the mono- and multi-component Langmuir, Freundlich, Redlich?Peterson , Sips and khan models .The model parameters were estimated by nonlinear regression method using Statistica version-6 software.
