Abstract
The reaction of epichlorohydrin with lactams over basic and acid catalysts is investigated. It is established that over acid catalysts, the reaction proceeds at the carbonyl group forming cyclic ketals. At the catalysis reaction by bases the reaction proceeds by an amino group forming chlorohydrin ethers lactams. The physical and chemical features of the synthesized compounds are defined.
