Abstract
Incidence of congenital diaphragmatic hernia is rare in adult because of high mortality in infants .In adults it is usually diagnosed as incidental findings. Bochdalek hernia is the most common type. It can manifest as chest pain dyspnoea , abdominal pain. Sometimes it can present as features as intestinal obstruction and GERD. Diaphragmatichernia can be clinically diagnosed by presence of bowel sounds in thoracic cavity, mediastinal shift, diminished breath sounds in the affected side and scaphoid abdomen. Investigation CXR - PA View, CT - Chest. It must be considered as non cardiac cause of chest pain .All adult form of CDH should repaired to prevent complication .
