Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of the impact of widespread use of the Internet and digitalization on the development of the economy, production processes and forms of interaction between business entities, including analysis of the Web Index in the countries of the EU, BRIC, and some others. The conclusions drawn may be useful for countries forming a digital economy.
