Abstract
Plummer Vinson syndrome also known as Paterson-Brown-Kelly syndrome presents as a triad comprising of dysphagia, iron deficiency anaemia and esophageal web. It is very rarely reported in children and adolescents. Early identification of this condition can provide relief of symptoms by iron supplementation. Being a premalignant condition these patients with Plummer Vinson Syndrome need to be included in surveillance programmes for oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma. We are reporting this 12 years old boy with plummer Vinson syndrome who presented with dysphagia, esophageal web and iron deficiency anaemia for its rarity.
