Abstract
The article is devoted to the use of simulation technologies of mixed reality in higher educational institutions in the preparation of marine professionals. The role and place of simulation technologies are analyzed, taking into account the competency approach. Using the experience of the Kherson State Maritime Academy, the possibilities of using the simulation center "Virtual and Real Ship of the KSMA" in the system of training of future ship navigators are considered. The article concludes that the use of simulation technologies of mixed reality in the training of future navigators is very relevant and requires a comprehensive approach and a priority solution to the development of the digitalization of society.
