Abstract
This is a case report of bilateral pure dislocation of 1st carpometacarpal joint in a 40 year old male following road traffic accident which is a rare injury. We managed this case by repairing the dorso radial ligament and capsuloraphy of the dorsal capsule of both the 1st MCP joint in the same setting. Our surgical procedure successfully resulted in a stable pain free thumb of both hands in a 6 month follow up.
