Abstract
Non seminomatous germ cell tumors are known to have excellent response to modern cisplatin-based chemotherapy and or appropriate surgery, early-stage testicular cancer has a cure rate of 95 to 100 percent, whereas advanced disease has a 70 percent cure rate. However, up to 10 percent of patients who achieve a disease-free status with initial chemotherapy will eventually relapse, with majority of them relapsing within first 2 years of completion of treatment. Late relapses, after 2 years are seen with Seminoma but late relapse with NSGCT are relatively rare, with relapse rates ranging from 1-6 percent described in literature. We are reporting a very late relapse of NSGCT, after eighteen years of treatment.
