AN INTERESTING CASE REPORT OF VIRILISING OVARIAN TUMOUR

A 30 year old female presented to us with features of virilisation. On evaluation, laboratory investigations revealed hyperandrogenism. Free testosterone values were elevated. An ovarian mass was confirmed radiologically. Following a laparotomy proceeded to salpingoophorectomy, histopathological studies confirmed a right sided steroid-cell ovarian tumor, not otherwise specified. Post-operatively her serum testosterone levels declined with near-complete reversal of symptoms.
