Abstract
We have developed main determinants affecting mental health of students of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The study of the stress problems and coping behavior of stressed students is one of the most important problems of the health psychology. During the academic year 2010-2012 we have comprehensively studied mental health of students within the framework of the educational process in Departments of Economics, Management and Psycho-Pedagogy in Medicine. 259 second-year students of the №1 Medicine Faculty of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy took part in the research.
Besides, we have studied modern sources of mental stresses and coping strategies of the medical university students.
