Abstract
The study focuses on the pretentious procedure of dispute settlement arising in maritime transport. The legislation devoted to pretentious procedure of dispute settlement that arise during merchant shipping is analyzed, as well as questions regarding practical application are analyzed. The gaps in the legal regulation of the pretentious procedure are determined and possible changes to the legal regulation of pretentious procedure in the maritime transport are proposed.
