THE CONCEPT OF GREEN ECONOMY AND THE POSSIBILITY OF ITS APPLICATION IN UKRAINE

The article highlights the content of the concept of "green economy" as one of the most effective tools for ensuring sustainable development. The main events in the process of development and formation of this concept, as well as problems of the global environmental situation are noted. Proposed sectoral and institutional measures for the development of a "green economy" in Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the approaches to assessing "green growth". Taking into account the mentioned concept, and in the absence of the generally accepted methodology, the set of indicators of evaluation is proposed to be based on the priorities of a particular country in the implementation of the policy of sustainable development.
