Abstract
The article deals with the concepts of a legal entity, stipulated by the laws of Ukraine and Russia. A comparative analysis of these concepts is carried out, the main distinguishing features and causes of differences are highlighted. The features are highlighted; a reasonable conclusion is made about the possibility of including these provisions in the legislation of Russia. The role and influence of historical, economic and political factors on the formation of the concept of a legal entity is noted. It is proposed to borrow some provisions related to the property of a legal entity and its independent responsibility by the legal order of Russia and Ukraine.
