Abstract
Osteoid osteomas are benign tumours of the bone. They are well known to cause diagnostic dilemmas. We are presenting a case of a young male who was referred as a case of osteomyelitis based on MRI findings. Following clinical examination, X ray left hip with femur was done which showed a suspicious nidus. Since CT is more sensitive in identifying the nidus, we proceeded with it, which confirmed the presence of nidus. Surgical excision with decompression and curettage was done and the specimen was sent for histopathological examination. Pathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of osteoid osteoma. Patient became symptom free after the treatment.
