Abstract
The topicality of the study of political and legal history of Russia and the North Caucasus as its component is determined by the current state of the region. The author of the article ana?lyzes the archetypes or basic traditional legal values of the Ingush society forming the core of ethnic identity and potentially dangerous problems inherent in the political future of the Ingush republic.
