Abstract
In this article the data of a victimization and self-reported delinquency study of grade 9 students in 2000 and 2008/09 in Russia and Germany are analyzed. Offending and victimiza?tion rates as to violence as well as rates reporting victimization experiences to the police are compared between countries and across time. Reasons for changes in prevalence and reporting rates are discussed.
