Abstract
Soft tissue infection due to mycobacterium tuberculosis can affect muscles, tendons, fascia, bursa and synovial tissue. We describe a patient who presented to us with a swelling in the left gluteal region, which was diagnosed to be tuberculous subtrochanteric bursitis, which was accompanied by multiple rice body formations, without active tuberculosis or previous history of tuberculosis.
