Abstract
Leishmaniasis is a protozoal disease capable of causing a spectrum of clinical syndromes ranging from cutaneous ulcerations to systemic infections. It is endemic in Ganga- Brahmaputra valleys affecting especially Bihar, West-Bengal and Assam. We present a child diagnosed with Kala- Azar from southern India where it is rare.
