Abstract
Modern domestic and foreign libraries experience of the blogs using is analysed in the article. 19 foreign and 19 domestic libraries blogs were selected to conduct research. Criteria which were used to undertake the analysis and characteristic of library representation in social media and to study social media as the source base for library science reflexions were: representation (level of providing information on library), centralization / dispersion (existence / lack of several accounts of libraries and structural divisions in one network), content (informative filling of the page), intensity of feedback (considers the user reactions). It is revealed that domestic and foreign libraries are characterized by a polypresentation (the concentration of the library in most social media) in blogs. As a result of the analysis of library representations it is revealed that the personalization of representation is important, that is, it would be useful to explore the ways in which different divisions of libraries are represented. It is proved that the blog is one of the modern effective means of communication «library - user», «library - library», «user - user».
