Abstract
On the site of the ancient settlement Sura, 22 kilometres from Rakka, there was found a Turkish runic inscription. It is written in the so-called South Yenisei script, with a ninth-century distribution on the Sayan-Altay upland and in Mongolia. Unfortunately, this inscription has not been decoded; but Siberian data allow us to refer it to Mani, who moved to the Euphrates to spread his religious doctrine. In a similar manner Khakassts (Middle Yenisei) rode to Jerusalem in the 19th century, to learn about in the truth of Christianity.
