THE HUMAN CAPITAL VALUE FOR THE RUSSIAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

This article is devoted to the topical issues of stimulating economic growth and development of the Russian economy, its transition to its digital model. The high importance of human capital in these processes is indicated. This article describes the distinctive features of human capital from the concepts of human resources and human capital. The dynamics of the places occupied by Russia in the international scene is analyzed in the framework of the global competitiveness index, human development index, gross domestic product, R&D ex- penses and other indicators. The article concludes that human capital is of high importance as a fundamental factor and engine of socio-economic development
