Abstract
The article attempts to embrace all the complexity of reasons for the US-China trade war, which is connected with a large amount of political controversies between the United States of America and the People's Republic of China. The author pays special attention to the transformation of the system of international relations in which there is a trade war on, dwelling on the issue of trade protectionism. At the end of the article, the author summarizes briefly the reasons of the US-China trade war
