Abstract
The article discusses the use in the electrical distribution networks of voltage class 20 kV. Voltage class 20 kV reduces the loss of electricity, since there are aerial wires and cables with a large cross-section. The voltage under consideration increases the capacity of the line by at least 2-2.5 times and reduces power losses by 1.5 times compared to 6-10 kV networks. The results of comparative calculations of power losses for voltages of 6, 10 and 20 kV are presented.
