Abstract
Recidivism of minors is one of the urgent problems facing the penal system. The article analyzes the main difficulties faced by educational colonies in the process of correction of juvenile convicts. The author proposes a number of recommendations to improve the activities of penitentiary institutions for the re-socialization of this category of convicts.
