Abstract

This article discusses the level of anxiety as a psychological barrier in the study of foreign languages in adolescence. The conditions of modern society place higher demands on the teaching of foreign languages. Nowadays, the ability and willingness to carry out foreign language interpersonal communication with native speakers is in demand. However, in the process of learning foreign languages, students face difficulties that prevent the successful acquisition of a foreign language. Such difficulties are psychological barriers. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that the level of anxiety is linked with the effectiveness of learning a foreign language. The article includes a theoretical and empirical study of the level of anxiety in adolescents during the study of foreign languages.
