Abstract
The problem of a condition of using grammatical synonyms of nocturne/de nuit in modern French is considered in the article. The choice of synonyms like nocturne/de nuit in French is difficult for Russian speakers as in Russian the meanings expressed by grammatical synonyms of adjective + an adjectival noun, are conveyed only by one adjective.
