Abstract
Agriculture is the most important area in the development of the Indian economy. Fruit grading and classification in post harvesting using manual power is not viable both in terms of time and economic aspects. Thus automation is introduced in agricultural sector. In this work, mangoes of three different phases or conditions were classified. This work is based on image processing technique to classify the condition of the mango through sample MATLAB tool. Image acquisition is carried out by collecting the sample images of mangoes manually to train the algorithm and to perform further processes of classifying and measuring the accuracy of classifying. The whole process is being carried out by k-means clustering algorithm, which extracts the max features from the given images and thus, these features are used for classifying the mangoes
