Abstract

This research aims to acknowledge the influence of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence towards managerial competence, employee engagement, Counterproductive Work Behaviour (CWB), and managerial performance. This research focuses on the negative behaviour in the workplace since it has been far from being highlighted. CWB a negative behaviour in a workplace affecting the decrease of managerial's performance. Quantitative research method was used in this research with Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) as its measurement tool. The population of the research was 174 leaders of BNI 46 region of East Java, consisting of 25 branch managers, 25 managers of service, 29 manages of business, 3 managers of operational and 92 managers of supporting branch. The questionnaires were delivered to 122 samples of respondents taken proportionally. The research result shows that Emotional Intelligence is the most influencing factors towards the managerial competence, employee engagement, and CWB. furthermore, the indicator of being able to communicate towards other people is an important key of emotional intelligence. The implication of this research is that good emotional intelligence could increase the managerial competence and employee engagement as well as to minimize counterproductive work behaviourin the workplace.
